Pink for your Pinkies

Last night I ran across not ONE, but THREE ads for pink gloves in a 1947 UK Vogue magazine that are now listed in the shop.  I guess PINK was the "in" color for gloves that year! How could you ever be in a bad mood wearing any one of these beautiful pink beauties?

Looking at these gloves reminds me of being five or six years old, and rummaging through the chest of drawers where my mom kept her myriad pairs of gloves.  All the different colors and lengths.  What a treat!

  1. I totally forgot about the Vintage pink gloves! I remember the black, cream, kid leather and white netted ones.
I have fond memories as a child in San francisco... my father would walk with my sister and I to the street vendors who sold flowers, delicate little violets, wrapped in purple or green tissue! We would always be dressed with little hats and our special sunday white gloves!
fond memories! San fran in the 1960's nothing like it!

  2. I wish gloves were still in vogue for women today. I so would have rocked in the 1940s --- love the outfits. Thanks!

  3. I thought I posted a comment but just in case I messed up the first one.
I wish we would still dress up with hats and gloves --- women looked to regal then. I so would have rocked it in the 1940s-50s.
